You may be playing Attack, Middie, or defense, and buying arm guards or pads is solely up to the individual. If you need more protection cause you getting pounced grab a decent set of arm guards. If your a d-man you may not wear any or maybe just an arm pad.

Gloves are usually a pretty easy pic for most laxers. The Stinger from STX is a great starter Glove. The chopper, I-Pro, K18, and G22 are great mid to high level. The Harrow HRW and G2 are very nice gloves as well. The Gait Identity and palmless are a sweet high end gloves you can’t go wrong with.

Any Stinger/Intrepid pads package is great for kids just getting into the game of lacrosse. Throw a complete stick like an AV8 or Icon prestrung with a Stylin’ Strings R-basic pocket and your golden. Grab a CS or CLH2 from Cascade or an IDH youth from GAIT and your fully outfitted to play.

The Rival series from STX and intrepid from Gait are good starter rib pads. Moving up to the shogun from STX is about as good as it gets when it comes to rib pads. As you get older you may not even wear the rib pads anyhow.

Shoulder pads are similar to gloves in that you get what you pay for. If your just starting out any manufactures pads will do the trick. If your sworn to a certain brand that’s on you. Some pads are more astetically pleasing and some have actually have more protection and more manueverablity.
